2015-16年球季28日正式開戰，開幕日最受注目的當屬這場「皇帝vs.玫瑰」，但「小皇帝」LeBron James終場前苦吞「麻辣鍋」，讓芝加哥公牛97：95氣走克里夫蘭騎士，報了上季季後賽一箭之仇。
公牛「飆風玫瑰」Derrick Rose因眼眶骨折，今天依舊戴著面具上場，全場攻下18分、5助攻，但命中率只有36.4%。
兩隊決勝節前段戰的難分難捨，不過公牛不到3分鐘內拉出一波11：2攻勢，取得領先。
倒數1分鐘，騎士死馬當活馬醫，「愛神」Kevin Love還真的連進兩記三分球，連得8分，將落後追到2分差，最後10秒Rose拋投失手，眼見逆轉大門已經開了一半。
暫停過後，騎士將鑰匙交到James手中，他切入後無法甩開對手，反而被Pau Gasol賞了一記大火鍋，最後1.9秒公牛Jimmy Butler再見抄截，終結比賽。
James繳出全場最高25分，另有10籃板、5助攻，老將Mo Williams回鍋首戰攻下19分，Love貢獻18分、8籃板。
公牛前鋒Nikola Mirotic攻下19分、9籃板，Butler得17分，Gasol儘管7投僅中1、只得2分，但送出6記阻攻，仍是致勝功臣。
